Hello everyone!
Today I am going to be talking about color symbolism. Use of color is to symbolize a character's true intentions or to elicit emotions from an audience is well-known and used in the film and writing worlds. As you may know, our film is now starting off with a sunny day, during the first days of summer break. A group of 4 friends are excited to start off their summer break. These first scenes are appealing to bright colors. We are talking like pink, bright orange, yellow, etc. As typically these colors are used to indicate a emotion of happiness. As the film continues, the colors of the film move more into dark colors. Like black, grey, brown, etc. These dark colors contribute to the emotion of scary, creepy, and alarming.
Color symbolism is a great tool to add more details into a film. The colors you used throughout a film help demonstrate the audience the type of emotions you are trying to give off. I hope you pay attention to these color details in our film, as we are making sure we portray our film with appropriate colors, and tones.
