Post #16- Distribution

Welcome back! Today we take a break from editing, filming, and the production process. For classwork today,  our teacher Ms. Hall has assigned two articles about distribution. 

After reading both articles, I went back and looked at the main purpose of these articles. From what I read, movies usually take a certain path to make it to it's local theaters. Film distribution is key to earning revenue from a movie. The distribution process ensures that the film reaches its intended audience and generates revenue through various channels For a real holly wood  movie the process is much longer, and broader. The main question our teacher asked us is, how are we going to distribute our film?  Well today, there are many popular apps raving across people feeds this includes Tik Tok, Instagram, You tube, Netflix, etc. Social media is one of the most efficient ways used in the movie industry. For many teenagers, cellphones are there pride, by distributing our film out to the public where we know a huge audience platform is at, then we can gain many viewers.  As of early 2025, approximately 5.24 billion people, or 63.9% of the global population, use social media. If we take advantage of this, our film will be raving across everyone phones. 

Although there are many ways to give out your film to the public, I believe social media is the most efficient way, and would be the way I would use for my film.
